  1. Dear Manal,
I am so very sorry to hear about the terrible loss of your family and friends. I have seen the report on the TV and heard you on the BBC world service last night; you have come over really well and sincerely - explaining clearly the real human cost of the terrible situation in Gaza. I hope you hear good-news of your brother soon.
Good luck with appeal, I will drop something into the restaurant next week.
I really enjoyed the meal we shared with you both the food and the atmosphere – you have a great restaurant.
Take care – you are in are thoughts and prayers.
    Best wishes
    Andy Hardwick.
( your neighbour and fellow student)

  4. Dear Friends,
We are receiving a fantastic response on every level and my phone does not stop ringing. It would help the practicalities of the campaign if some of the message of support were posted here for all to see. Thanks again

  6. Hi,

I hope that the messages of support will go to some way in helping you with your loss. This does show people in this country that more people than they realise who are not that far from them are affected by this conflict at a personal level.
Will there be another emergency protest at the Council House on the 19th if this conflict continues? If so please email me at jessica.marshall@physics.org.

  8. Dear Manal,
I am Osama from Bahrain, I heard you the other day on Monte Carlo International "مونت كارلو الدولية" and I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your family and friends. Here in Bahrain most people have been watching TV channels closely and talking about their frustrations of what’s happening in Gaza and participating in demonstrations, which is probably what most Arabs in the Arab world are doing. Its like we are trapped between Arab leaders and their paralyzed situation in not even being able to make a decision to have a summit or not! and the awful situation in Gaza. As the old saying since I was 10 years old during early 70s heard it from my father “Arabs agreed not to agree” .
Anyway, I just wanted to let you and all our people in Palestine know that we feel the suffering you are going through and would like to help. Please let me know how.

  10. Hi everyone,

I have found a site with some very useful things which we can send over.

    http://www.survivalbox.co.uk/

I think the foil blankets will be a good idea but I haven't a clue if they are good or not. If anyone has ever used one of these please let me know.

  11. Dear Manal,

    Nice blog, but hopelessly naive.
If I read in the head of your
blog "powered by Google", my hair
stand on end. Because Google is
    jewish, also blogspot.com, were
    your blog is stored. Those
    companies are all jewish controlled
and in effect you support your
enemy Israel, if you start a blog
    on their servers and accept
    advertisements by Google.

    You have been fooled completely,
and until now, you did not even
    know.

    bye

    Stefan

  12. Assalamu 'alaikum Manan,

we have desperately been trying to get your telephone no. so we could ask you a few questions regarding the BBC's refusal to screen the Humanitarian Appeal for Gaza. So please phone us on 0208 863 8586, and we will interview you and publish an article on your case, and it will promote your project, insha Allah.

  14. Hi Manal. I am English but I support what you believe in, as do many of my friends. You will probably not remember but we met at Habibi(before the palm trees arrived) and last summer at a private party in Kenilworth. I know from our brief discussions that you have great faith in your beliefs and I wish you well. I was truly shocked when I heard your sad news but I know you have the strength to see this through. Good luck and best wishes in re-creating your own brand of the united nations. Love. xx
